Taranaki has its own story of a highwayman. From 1892-93, this masked villain haunted the streets of New Plymouth, armed with a pistol and firing threatening words at victims. Find out who he was, why he did it and what sort of man he grew into. In the future, we will look at murders around the mountain, feature a Taranaki girl who became New Zealand's first Māori policewoman and find out about the Armed Constabulary, formed in 1867.
