The New Plymouth i-SITE Visitor Information Centre is an accredited member of the I-site Visitor Information Network (VIN). We offer a full range of brochures and free and friendly information for all visitors and locals.  We can arrange all of your bookings for accommodation, transportation, events and attractions.

 

We are agents for Tranz Scenic Trains, Interislander and Blue Bridge ferries as well as Dalroy Express, Intercity, Newmans and Whitestar Coachlines. Booking fees may apply.

Historical Guided Walk
European Settlement of New Plymouth
This guided tour is offered every Saturday and Sunday at 1pm or by prior arrangement.  It examines the struggles and triumphs of the first European settlers as they worked to establish a new community.

The walk is 3km long and takes between 1.5 and 2 hours. It can be taken as a self-guided tour using an audio recording or with a tour guide.
