This site includes the collected biographies originally published in the printed Dictionary of New Zealand Biography series between 1990 and 2000, and in the parallel Maori-language series, Nga Tangata Taumata Rau.

The Puke Ariki archive collection contains the papers, journals, letters (documents) of individuals and families, historic records from businesses and organisations and societies within the Taranaki region.
The collection includes a wide range of newspapers including The Taranaki Herald, The Daily News, The Kaponga Courier, The Opunake Times, The Stratford Evening Post, The Stratford Press and Taranaki Punch.
