Taranaki Children's Book Festival

Sunday 31 August – Friday 5 September

Calling all kids in Taranaki!

Join us for the first ever Taranaki Children's Book Festival celebrating the best of New Zealand books for kids.

The New Plymouth, Stratford and South Taranaki District Libraries are pleased to announce the inaugural Taranaki Children's Book Festival in August and September 2008.

The Festival features several days of public events, author visits and professional development workshops at schools and libraries in Taranaki, aimed at celebrating and encouraging the joy of children's literature in New Zealand.

Come to the Festival Launch on Sunday 31 August at Puke Ariki in New Plymouth. This is your chance to meet our amazing authors and illustrators up close, ask them questions about their books and illustrations, get their autographs, and much more! The Festival Launch starts at 1.00pm in Discover it! (library basement).
