Puke Ariki has retained its quality status as one of New Zealand's leading tourism businesses licensed to carry the Qualmark – New Zealand tourism's official mark of quality.

Puke Ariki was recently reassessed as part of the Qualmark quality endorsement programme. The endorsement programme is designed to identify professional and trustworthy operators to enable international and domestic visitors to book and buy tourism products and services with confidence.

Bill Macnaught, Manager Puke Ariki, says the Qualmark endorsement is important for local and international visitors alike.

"The Qualmark assessment is a rigorous process that places real focus on the services and systems we have in place at Puke Ariki.

The endorsement reassures visitors that Puke Ariki is a good operator and that we look after our visitors.

It's important that visitors have these official and independent benchmarks to refer to when making decisions regarding how to spend their time when visiting Taranaki.""

The Qualmark endorsement system sits alongside Qualmark's star grading system for accommodation. Over 1200 tourism businesses throughout New Zealand are licensed to use the Qualmark mark of quality.

Qualmark is a joint venture of Tourism New Zealand and New Zealand Automobile Association and is backed by the New Zealand Tourism Industry Association and other leading industry organisations. It is the way the industry directs travellers to quality assured products and services.
