Suitable for children of all ages, many of the exhibits are based on familiar toys but have been given a new twist or an added dimension.

Examples include a one metre long helium-filled airship, flown by remote control; building blocks the size of suitcases which allow seemingly impossible structures to become stable; a digital raceway which allows visitors to compete for speed; a mechanised skipping rope where the player sets the pace, and many more fun and interactive exhibits.

Paper plane building

The exhibition ranges across a wide range of educational subject areas with strong emphasis in areas of science, technology and mathematics.

TechnoToys was created by Excsite of Waikato Museum.
