Stillwater Creek

Author: Alison Booth
Review by janie on 05 April 2011

This is a first novel from this new author and I cant wait for the sequel which is on order/newly acquired.
Its about a small remote coastal community in austrailia in the 50's. You are drawn into unbelievabily accepted predjudice of abo's & refo's ( refugees).
It has some very endearing charactors and the authors style of writing makes you think you are there.... all very real.
There is a disgusting secret that gets caught up in the anxiety of letting it all out in a small town but there is a twist that frees those involved.
I loved this book!
