Let's Go Brougham Street Shared Space Project
This $1.1 million redevelopment of the area outside the Puke Ariki Library Wing will transform what was quite a tired and run down area into a more open and friendly place with grass and seats.
The design of the area reflects the features of the coastal walkway and Puke Ariki Landing, will give a better visual link to Devon Street West and will be a shared space between vehicles and pedestrians, with no defined kerbed road.
The project is due to finish very soon, and with the announcement of a new artwork to be installed as the crowning glory, everyone at Puke Ariki is very excited to see the final product and to start using the new space.
