Flashback: Tales and Treasures of Taranaki
Puke Ariki Social History Curator Andrew Moffat has been on a hard-case treasure hunt.
The author of Flashback: Tales and Treasures of Taranaki let the objects, images, archives and taonga Māori in Puke Ariki’s heritage collection take him on a journey of discovery.
The result is a collection of short, easy-to-read tales that are the ‘back stories’ of Taranaki’s past – some which had lain untold for years until Andrew tracked them down, dusted them off and bought them into the light.
Not everything Andrew uncovered could be included in the book so we are revealing it here on the Puke Ariki website.
